Local sound recordings of water were looped and manipulated in such as way as to produce an industrial, heavy-metal feel. This captures the character of Severn Beach, which, with its concrete promenade and sea defence walls, is maybe not a spot of outstanding natural beauty. Yet it is popular with fishermen and on a good day, one can see (or hear) from here the Severn Bridge, the Avonmouth tanks and even the Cardiff docks.
