Tides at Burnham-on-Sea by Carl Kill and Patrick Sheppard, 2010 |
Instrumental, 2:56 mins |
Inspired by a site visit, the composition recreates the experience of the incoming tide at Burnham-on-Sea. Burnham-on-Sea is known for its golden sands, a good place for walking, playing beach games, kite-flying, picnics and splashing about in the sea. However strong currents make it unsafe to swim except from approximately two hours before high tide until two hours after, and there are quicksand pools in the sand banks. |
